Tainan’s annual Baihe Lotus Season kicks off on June 7, and the Tainan City Transportation Bureau has launched special lotus-viewing buses to make getting to the lotus fields more convenient for visitors.

The Baihe Transfer Station is a key transportation hub in the region, connecting nearby Taiwan international attractions such as Guanziling and the coffee-rich Dongshan area. The Baihe Transfer Station was officially completed and put into use on May 22. Its main structure consists of the transfer station building and bus lanes. The transfer station building features the Yellow Line concept of the Greater Tainan Bus system, with a bright and lively yellow-and-white exterior. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors and windows make the waiting area bright and comfortable. The interior space incorporates the lotus theme of the Baihe area, featuring both aesthetically pleasing and practical lotus-shaped waiting chairs. The thoughtfully designed entry and exit lanes not only help ensure smooth local traffic but also make boarding and alighting more convenient for passengers.

In addition, the station is equipped with a number of advanced and user-friendly facilities, such as electronic information displays that provide clear and concise transit information. Other amenities include barrier-free restrooms, nursing rooms, water dispensers, free lockers, charging stations for mobile phones and wheelchairs, free Wi-Fi, and automated external defibrillators (AEDs), offering passengers a more comfortable and convenient waiting environment.

Take the “Lotus-Viewing Bus” to Baihe for a light trip around Tainan and get ready for the annual Baihe Lotus Season. As long as you use an electronic ticket to ride the lotus-viewing bus, it's free (free for rides within 8 kilometers using an electronic ticket), and you can leisurely admire the vibrantly blooming lotuses along the way, enjoying a slow and relaxing journey. After getting off, you can also enjoy a refreshing and cooling lotus root tea, without the hassle of finding parking.
