Find Wang Leehom and explore Qimei with Tainan’s flower-viewing bus light travel!

In the designated area around Tainan High-Speed Rail Station, golden shower trees and flame trees have recently blossomed in succession, creating seas of yellow and red flowers. Set against the backdrop of the shade from the small-leaved Lagerstroemia trees, this area on Gui Ren Boulevard has been dubbed the “Wang Leehom” Avenue of Gui Ren. The Transportation Bureau recommends that visitors take the Greater Tainan Bus to get there and pair it with Qimei Museum’s weekend cultural bus to enjoy a relaxing, car-free light travel experience by bus.

Within the Tainan Station designated area, the golden shower trees near Sha Guo Junior High School and the flame trees along Gui Ren Boulevard around the station have both entered full bloom, forming a stunning spectacle of competing yellow and red hues. Together with the lush green lanes of small-leaved Lagerstroemia, this area has been dubbed the “Wang Leehom” Avenue of Gui Ren — a play on the homophonic sounds of “yellow” flowers from the golden shower, “red” flowers from the flame tree, and “green” leaves from the small-leaved Lagerstroemia, which also complements the yellow, green, and red trunk lines of the Greater Tainan Bus system.

The Tainan City Transportation Bureau also recommends that visitors make use of Greater Tainan Bus branch lines such as Red 3, Red 14, and Green 16 to reach various locations by bus. After enjoying the flowers, visitors can take the Red 3 bus to Qimei Museum, then connect with the weekend cultural bus to explore art and cultural areas such as Shihpa Cultural Village and Metropolitan Park, or head to Taiwan Sugar Carnival Mall — all in one go to fulfill desires for flower viewing, hiking, art exhibitions, and shopping!
