To welcome the arrival of summer vacation, the most popular Universal Studios Japan has launched a series of attraction updates to ensure everyone has a blast. First up, the globally beloved “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™” races ahead of the summer break to offer an unprecedented sense of presence through 3D technology, making the rapidly flying “Golden Snitch™” seem almost within reach. In addition, limited-time events “One Piece Premier Show” and “Resident Evil the Real 3” will also introduce brand-new elements, delivering experiences unlike anything before.

The second year of “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™” is even more fun!5Starting on21, it incorporates3Dtechnology to create a hyper-realistic experience, offering an infinitely extending flight above Hogwarts and the sensation of the Golden Snitch flying just inches away. Moreover, starting in July, the park will also debut a new merchandise item—the wildly popular Quidditch robe—giving magic fans an authentic feel of stepping into the movie world. As for the wildly acclaimed magical drink “Butterbeer™,” which was a big hit last year, it will continue this year’s event with a summer-exclusive “Frozen Butterbeer™.”

In addition to the update of “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™,” the “Yo-kai Watch the Real” attraction will also make its summer debut, allowing guests to operate the “Yo-kai Watch” and “Yo-kai Pad” to find hidden yo-kai lurking around. When visitors follow the map shown on the “Yo-kai Pad” and arrive at familiar streets, the “Yo-kai Watch” radar suddenly reacts, signaling that a yo-kai is nearby. By responding to the Yo-kai Watch and using the Yo-kai Lens to investigate, you can experience unexpected encounters with “physical yo-kai.”

Meanwhile, the summer-themed attraction “Summer Water Splash Surprise Party” will also receive a full upgrade. Compared to last year, the water volume has increased by 150%, marking the largest amount of water in the park’s history. In addition, the ultra-popular character “Minions,” who joined last spring, will make their exciting debut. Alongside the newly renovated “Universal Wonderland” completed this spring, Universal Studios Japan has prepared a wealth of fun content to ensure all visitors have a joyful and memorable time.
