● Shuxia Xia Zi Zongzi

Xia Zi originally sold northern-style zongzi, first cooking the oil-flavored rice, then adding lean meat, mushrooms, taro, and dried bamboo shoots before wrapping them into zongzi and steaming. Now they also offer southern-style zongzi, where raw rice is cooked together with pork belly, mushrooms, peanuts, black-eyed beans, and salted egg yolks, all wrapped in bamboo leaves. Although not the oldest zongzi shop in the area, their business is thriving—they sometimes sell up to a thousand zongzi in a single day. Emphasizing handmade, on-site wrapping, customers can see the hygiene and taste the deliciousness.

● Liu Family Zongzi

Liu Family Zongzi is one of the earliest to start, not only offering a wide variety of flavors, but also selling at thin profit margins with high volume. They can sell tens of thousands of zongzi on holidays, and you often have to queue up to buy theirs. Currently, Liu Family Zongzi offers salted egg yolk zongzi, southern-style zongzi, Manhan zongzi, [characters unclear], and other varieties. Each type is equally delicious, and no matter which you choose, the texture and flavor are outstanding.
