To celebrate the summer season, Harbour City has invited internationally awarded American hyperrealism sculpture artist Carole A. Feuerman to hold her first solo exhibition in the Asia-Pacific region right here in Hong Kong. From June 18 to July 5, the rooftop plaza of Harbour City’s Ocean Terminal has been transformed into an “outdoor pool,” where you can see several “gracefully shaped women” who have come from the United States to “swim” in the pool.

Internationally renowned hyperrealist sculptor Carole A. Feuerman presents a series of six swimming-themed sculptures at the Ocean Terminal rooftop plaza. Harbour City has also collaborated with Hong Kong multidisciplinary space designer Mr. Tong Siu Wing and two Asian trompe-l'œil artists—Poh Chueh Wee (Hong Kong) and Khor Han Khai (Malaysia)—to design an artistic pool that serves as a platform for artist interaction. The human sculptures, wearing various swimsuits, appear in the pool in multiple poses: an Olympic athlete-inspired figure modeled after Lauren Perdue swims in the pool, lounges in floating bubbles, or practices yoga on a giant silver sphere—all with their eyes closed to spark the imagination.

This collaboration between Asian and international artists also facilitates an exchange of Eastern and Western art. Three-dimensional hyperrealistic human sculptures are displayed against two-dimensional optical illusion paintings, with the two distinct art forms blending harmoniously to showcase a new approach to public art display. The entire exhibition delivers a stunning visual experience, while the harbor-adjacent “pool” stays closely connected to the city’s rhythm, offering the public a fresh perspective on Hong Kong as a vibrant metropolis.
