China’s Longest Aerial Walkway Opens – View Ponds and Waterfalls 50 Meters Above Ground

The highly anticipated Longfeng Waterfall Aerial Walkway in Zhongliao Township, Nantou, began a two-week trial operation from July 6 to 22. To ensure safety, the walkway operates on a reservation system along with limited on-site spots, allowing only 500 visitors per day. Travelers interested in visiting can start making online reservations now!

Longfeng Waterfall in Zhongliao Township is a well-known local attraction, consisting of two waterfalls: “Dragon” and “Phoenix.” The Dragon Waterfall has a stronger flow and a more majestic presence, while the Phoenix Waterfall features a gentle stream, appearing more delicate. These two adjacent waterfalls are collectively named Longfeng. The sky corridor built above the Dragon Waterfall area is modeled after the Grand Canyon Skywalk in the United States. It features a transparent, non-suspended “U”-shaped walkway over 30 meters long, extending 13 meters above the waterfall and about 40–50 meters above the ground. The structure is secured using ground anchors and piles, making it the longest aerial corridor in the country. It allows visitors to overlook the cascading waterfall from above and enjoy the thrilling sensation of walking on a transparent path as if strolling through the air.

During the trial operation period, the discounted ticket price is NT$70, which includes the shuttle bus, insurance, and entrance fees. Visitors can park for free and then take the shuttle bus to reach the Longfeng Waterfall Aerial Walkway. After July 22, when full operation begins, the regular ticket price will be NT$100.
