The "Voice of the Sea," a hidden photography spot beloved by enthusiasts, is a roughly 100-meter-long seawall along the coast of Hsinchu’s Xiangshan District. This straight seawall stretches out into the ocean, and when the sun sets, the surrounding area glows golden, creating a dreamy scene that has earned it the nickname "Path to Heaven." Aside from being a popular fishing spot for locals, it’s also a favorite among photography lovers who come here to capture sunset photos. Now, affected by Typhoon Soudelor, the Voice of the Sea has been battered by fierce winds and massive waves — the once heavenly path is now reduced to broken chunks of concrete.
