Yilan is fun all year round — in summer you can soak in cold springs, and in winter, hot springs. The Suhua Longshan Hot & Cold Spring Resort Hotel is close to the famous tourist attraction Suhua Cold Spring. Surrounded by mountains on three sides and facing the Pacific Ocean to the east, entering the hotel gives you a sense of serene seclusion, switching you into vacation mode and letting you fully enjoy this rare leisure time!!
Since we always look for family stays or parent-child hotels with fun rooms for the kids, the room type is always what we look forward to most on every trip. This time when we came to the Suhua Longshan Hot & Cold Spring Resort Hotel, they happened to have a "Colorful Building Blocks" themed room package — perfect for our LEGO-loving family. When we opened the door, both adults and kids gasped in amazement; it was simply too adorable!!
The tatami room type is perfect for families with kids — no worries about them falling off the bed no matter how much they roll around. Don’t underestimate Yo — he’s already this big but still sleeps while flipping 360 degrees — totally the kind of bed partner my husband and I would refuse. This room type is just perfect for him!!
The triple room comes with one bed per person, and there were even popular How to Train Your Dragon balloons to welcome us, instantly winning over the kids. In addition, everyone had a bathrobe ready on the bed — just change into your swimsuit, put on the robe, and you’re good to go downstairs to soak or swim. Very convenient!!
The room setup is simple, with a table set with welcome fruit to slightly satisfy our cravings after our long journey, once again making us feel the thoughtfulness of the Suhua Longshan Hot & Cold Spring Resort Hotel toward its guests.
The restroom and hot spring pool are separate, with a full range of toiletries provided, including those for children.
Having a hot spring tub right in the room is truly a blessing. With both cold and hot springs available, whether you come in summer or winter, you can relax and destress thoroughly, and there are even two separate tubs so adults and children won’t disturb each other.

There’s also a capsule coffee machine, along with tea bags and local snacks provided.
What excited the kids the most were the Miller Goodman and Mitoi building blocks, allowing guests to play to their hearts’ content during their stay. Guests also get a special free gift — they can choose either Miller Goodman or Mitoi building blocks to take home for free, satisfying the creative spirit of both adults and kids. It’s rare to have such high-quality blocks to play with — the whole family went wild and even wanted to ask where to buy them, wishing they could keep playing even after checking out!!

In the leisure center, there is a children’s playroom, recreational arcade room, gym, and lounge sofa area, catering to both adults and kids at once. The children’s playroom is fairly spacious, with slides, ball pits, building blocks, and books — everything you can imagine, from active to quiet play. The entire playroom echoes with children’s laughter, bustling with joy!!
Especially cool — there’s even a Switch to play on!!
Challenge yourself to stay on the big ball for 10 seconds without falling off.
The building blocks in the playroom are different from the ones in the room — being able to play with different styles of blocks is super exciting.
Yo loves the large building block sets — he can finally build rockets or battle tanks and drive them around.
The recreational arcade room has all kinds of coin-operated games — basketball machines, ball toss games, whack-a-mole, floating balls, and even a “Family Computer”!! So nostalgic!!
Kids who love basketball always have to try the basketball game machines — wanting to challenge themselves, although it seems they haven’t improved much, keep it up!!
Additionally, you can rent board games — there are so many ways to play.
The kids had a blast playing while the parents could work out nearby or take care of other things—everyone got what they needed.
Besides being fun, you can’t miss the food at the Lungshan Suao Hot and Cold Spring Resort Hotel ! Their à la carte-style fine dining set meals use fresh, local ingredients, and every dish had us raving non-stop !

The Lungshan Suao Hot and Cold Spring Resort Hotel offers a series of on-site activities that enrich your holiday experience. Each one is suitable for family participation, allowing you to enjoy happy times with your children. When we visited, there happened to be the “Spring Dawn Heritage Arts” series of events. After dinner, full of energy, we especially joined in the “Stress Relief Painting Party” !

We’d never sprayed paint so freely before — the whole studio became our canvas. Mr. Dong and YoYo took turns spraying paint on each other and even used brushes directly on each other’s bodies. The crazy doodling was so therapeutic. We loved this activity—the whole classroom echoed with our laughter as we completely let go of daily stress. Haha, how much stress had built up inside us !
Capture your joy, remember your smiles—we froze these moments of happiness and happiness !
From daytime play to nighttime relaxation, returning to our room to soak in the hot springs helped us forget the outside world and fully appreciate the beauty of the holiday …
The next morning’s breakfast was another exquisite à la carte-style meal, and even the kids’ meal was thoughtfully designed. The rich spread left Yo too full to finish !
What the Lungshan Suao Hot and Cold Spring Resort Hotel is most famous for is its outdoor area featuring 18 cold and hot spring pools. Enjoying splashing around and soaking in an European-style estate—it was such a blissful feeling, like being on vacation in a foreign land !
It was the perfect way to unwind from days of work stress, and Mr. Dong clearly enjoyed it immensely …
Swimming outdoors in winter can be cold, but no worries—the Lungshan Suao Hot and Cold Spring Resort Hotel also has an indoor heated pool for family water fun ! We even brought a giant cactus-shaped swimming toy to add more fun to the water play—the dad and son duo were having so much fun they didn’t want to get out !
The spa area is also spacious and comfortable—even bigger kids can wade in without submerging, and soaking together as a family doubles the warmth !
There are on-site activities both in the evening and during the day. We specifically reserved the “Spring Dawn Heritage Arts” DIY activity—“Painting Your Own Fan.” It let Yo unleash his creativity to make his own unique folding fan. Once inspiration hit, he just couldn’t stop—he painted with such focus, even the staff complimented how well it turned out, which made him super happy !

Before we knew it, our two-day-one-night holiday came to an end. Staying at the Lungshan Suao Hot and Cold Spring Resort Hotel made time fly—we played from morning to night, indoors and outdoors. With non-stop excitement, it was hard to leave. We heard the resort offers plenty of seasonal, limited-time experiences, and we hope to come back soon for a brand-new, different adventure !
