The Double Ten Holiday is the perfect time to visit Chihshang and admire the golden rice waves. On October 10th, Taitung’s Chihshang will launch the “Ride Across Hualien and Taitung: Bicycle Picnic Day” event, combining cycling and picnicking. A total of 1,200 visitors can sign up to join in and together immerse themselves in the beautiful pastoral scenery.

The “Ride Across Hualien and Taitung: Bicycle Picnic Day” is jointly organized by the Hualien-Taitung Valley National Scenic Area Administration and the Chihshang Township Office. With the theme of a valley bicycle picnic day, it invites everyone to come together for a picnic in the fields. Fans who sign up can cycle leisurely along the Borlang Boulevard, Heaven’s Road, Takeshi Kaneshiro Tree, Chihshang Sky River, and the Zhanganxiang Green Corridor on Provincial Highway 20A, then enjoy a picnic and live music at Dapo Pond. The entire event is free, but online pre-registration is required to enjoy this delightful light cycling trip.
