Regarded as Denmark's most beautiful landmark, the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art is located in the Humlebæk area north of Copenhagen. From the outside, the museum entrance looks no different from an ordinary bungalow, but once you pass the counter, beyond the array of design goods and books, you’ll find a stretch of greenery, a vast sea view, and sculptures scattered throughout the garden—creating a wonderful fusion of art and nature.

The founder of the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Kund W. Jensen, believed that art should be integrated with life and the surrounding environment, allowing visitors to naturally connect with art. As such, the Louisiana Museum breaks away from the confined spaces and formal atmosphere of urban art museums. Its exhibition spaces are primarily long corridors, with most display rooms featuring floor-to-ceiling glass windows. The backgrounds of paintings or sculptures often consist of expansive green lawns or lush green ferns. Turn a corner, and designer works may stand just outside the window; the seaside café is also a highlight. Sitting at the open-air café next to the sculptures, the entire scene seems to become part of the exhibition.
