The annual Tainan Kanzanli Hot Spring Food Festival has officially kicked off. This year, Kanzanli presents a series of exciting activities themed around hot spring cuisine and Japanese nostalgia. In addition to hot spring bathing, the event also connects the regions of Baihe, Dongshan, and Houbi to offer a regional travel experience, inviting everyone to come and enjoy the hot springs, delicious food, and beautiful scenery.

In Japanese hot spring culture, wearing a yukata is an essential feature of hot spring resorts.This year’s Kanzanli Hot Spring Food Festival has specially incorporated the yukata element into the hot spring area, with over 50 sets of yukatas available for visitors to wear and take photos. Shoufu University, Kanzanli hot spring operators, and UNIQLO have also exclusively provided lightweight yukatas for everyone to experience this time.

This year’s Kanzanli Hot Spring Food Festival features two main highlights: “My Kanzanli Kitchen” offers premium and exquisite hot spring cuisine using unique local ingredients from Kanzanli, while the “Yukata Fireworks Carnival” allows visitors to experience the century-old Japanese charm of the Kanzanli hot spring town through distinctive yukatas.The event runs from September 19 to October 25A variety of activities will be held in rotation, including cooking competitions, tasting events, yukata experiences, nostalgic markets, fireworks parties, local tours, guided walks, and more. Everyone is invited to Kanzanli to enjoy diverse hot spring cuisine and the only mud hot spring in the country.

Additionally, to serve travelers, Xinying Bus will operate extra services on weekends (including public holidays) during the event period on the Xinying–Baihe, Baihe–Kanzanli, and Kanzanli Loop bus routes, with six trips per day. Visitors planning to go to Kanzanli for hot spring bathing can make good use of these services.
