Wild pandas appear in Miaoli rice fields! The Yuanli Township Farmers’ Association has created a brand-new rice paddy art piece called “Panda Family” in front of the Shanjiao Rush Culture Museum using second-season rice cultivation. Featuring five super-cute panda designs of varying sizes, the artwork has attracted many visitors to come and take photos.

The Yuanli Township Farmers’ Association has over 10 years of experience in creating rice paddy art. This time, on approximately 0.3 hectares of farmland in front of the Rush Culture Museum, they used four varieties of genetically improved rice in purple, yellow, white, and green colors. Riding on the popularity of Tuan Tuan and Yuan Yuan, they designed an adorable panda family motif. The best viewing period is estimated to last until mid-October, and visitors can head to the three-story observation deck nearby to admire and take pictures.
