Who would have thought that the most ordinary of steamed buns could be so adorable? Near the Songjiang Nanjing MRT station, surrounded by commercial buildings, there's a uniquely decorated bun shop called “BaoHouse” that not only shatters preconceptions of what a bun shop should be, but also surprises customers with the buns it serves.

BaoHouse is one of the brands under Si Zhi Tang International Commercial. It's located right next to Exit 3 of Songjiang Nanjing Station, by the park, making it very convenient to get to. The storefront is full of character — if it weren’t for the giant steamed bun logo floating amid clouds above the door, you might mistake it for a stylish exhibition space or a café. The interior of BaoHouse makes extensive use of metal and large glass windows to create an open and minimalist feel. Stepping into this small shop doesn’t bring any sense of oppression at all; instead, it fills you with comfort and a relaxed, happy mood.
