The results of the "2015 Top 10 Most Popular Hospitality Homestays" competition organized by the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications have been announced, with a total of three categories of homestays selected, including family-friendly hospitality homestays, themed hospitality homestays, hidden-gem hospitality homestays, as well as the Online Popularity Award.

To help legitimize homestays and improve their service quality and management, the Tourism Bureau has been hosting the "Hospitality Homestay Taiwan Host" certification program since 2011. Based on the five core values of "friendliness, warmth, cleanliness, hygiene, and reassurance," the program encourages homestay operators to apply for evaluation, jointly ensuring the excellence of Taiwan’s quality homestays.

The "Hospitality Homestay Taiwan Host" certification is valid for three years, after which reapplication for renewal is required. After enrolling in and completing basic guidance training courses, and passing an assessment by the county government, final approval and certification are granted by the Hospitality Homestay Selection Committee.
