This year marks the 40th anniversary of Taiwan Salt’s Tongxiao Refined Salt Plant, which has specially created the only hydrophilic square in Taiwan that offers both salty and fresh water, as well as hot and cold options. It opened in the morning and immediately attracted a large number of visitors eager to experience it. Taiwan Salt’s Tongxiao Refined Salt Plant is the production base for domestic table salt, marine alkaline ion water, and marine-generated water. In recent years, it has also actively developed new salt products, skincare items, health foods, and cleaning supplies, and established the “Salt Here Pavilion” exhibition and sales center, becoming a salt-themed tourist factory that attracts visitors.

In addition to the hydrophilic square, the park also has a hot spring stream for foot soaking. (Photo credit: Miaoli County Government)
