The ginkgo forest in the Xitou Nature Education Area was planted in the 10th year of the Republic of China (1921) and is the oldest ginkgo forest in Taiwan, covering an area of 0.2 hectares with around 70 trees. With the recent cooling weather, the ginkgo leaves have begun to take on a bright golden hue. The next week offers the best ginkgo viewing period, and in two weeks, they will start shedding gradually. There's no need to travel abroad to admire these stunning golden ginkgo trees — now is the perfect time.
