The Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, in support of the Executive Yuan’s “Boosting Consumption” measures, has introduced a domestic travel accommodation discount subsidy for residents. From November 20, 2015 to February 29, 2016, by logging into the official website (Taiwan Accommodation Network, Tourism Administrative Information Network, Taiwan Tourism Calendar) with your national ID number and relevant personal details, you can obtain an electronic accommodation discount voucher. Each person can receive up to NT$1,000 off. Thousands of B&Bs, hotels, and tourist hotels across Taiwan are participating, with the list continuously being updated.

According to the “Domestic Travel Accommodation Discount Subsidy Program” page on the Taiwan Accommodation Network, the list of participating accommodation providers released on the 18th includes 58 tourist hotels across Taiwan, such as Taipei Les Suites Mandarin Oriental, Grand Formosa Regent Taipei, Lucheng Crystal Hotel, Kaohsiung Hanshin, Silks Place Yilan, The Lalu, and Taroko Crystal Hotel. Among the participating inns are Vivikko Boutique Hotel (Datong Branch), Ambassador Hotel, Ambassador Hotel, Kiwi Express Inn, and Yueling Qian... Additionally, there are mountain lodges such as Alishan’s Shouzhen and Leye Hot Spring Hotel for travelers to choose from. Those who apply can enjoy the discount subsidy. Some participating inns are also offering additional promotions, such as discounted room rates or free upgrades, subject to availability.

Residents can check the complete list of participating accommodation providers on the campaign website (Taiwan Accommodation Network, Tourism Administrative Information Network, Taiwan Tourism Calendar) under the “Domestic Travel Accommodation Discount Subsidy Program” page. Starting November 20, you can apply for an electronic discount code for domestic travel accommodations using your national ID. During the campaign period (November 20, 2015 to February 29, 2016), when booking a stay at a participating hotel, provide the discount code during reservation to enjoy the subsidy. Subsidies are granted on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted.
