Treehouses often evoke romantic, childlike fantasies. No matter where people live around the world or what their backgrounds may be, it seems this shared dream is universal. In Tennessee, USA, there is the world’s largest treehouse — spanning four floors and reaching 30 meters in height, supported by just six oak trees. Although it was built without a specific plan, it features elaborate designs including a chapel, a basketball court, and as many as 80 rooms, making it truly breathtaking.

The world’s largest treehouse is located in the forest of Crossville, Tennessee. It was built over 14 years by Pastor Horace Burgess, hence the treehouse is called “Pastor Treehouse” or “Horace Burgess Treehouse.” The original motivation to build it came, according to Burgess, from a divine message he received during prayer, which inspired him to start constructing the treehouse.
