Taiwan’s Largest Anime Park Opens with Pikachu-Themed Station Drawing Attention

With the growing popularity of anime culture in Taiwan, and capitalizing on the rapid rise of the anime industry, the Zhudong Anime Park—the only anime-themed park in Taiwan and also the largest of its kind—officially opened on the 18th with an opening ceremony. Carefully planned by the Nine Stations Magic Cultural Creative Team, Zhudong Anime Park not only features works by numerous renowned Taiwanese comic artists and emerging animators and manga creators, but also exclusively launches the world’s first Pokémon (Pikachu)-themed station, as well as a robot-themed café. The goal is to establish Zhudong Anime Park as the “Akihabara of Taiwan,” propelling it onto the international stage.

The Hsinchu County Government has joined forces with the Nine Stations Magic Cultural Creative team to create Taiwan’s first and largest Zhudong Anime Park, providing a dedicated space for anime culture and creativity for anime fans around the world. In addition to showcasing anime-related works, the park will also offer a range of training programs in the future. It aims to gradually shape a unique anime culture in Taiwan through learning and legacy, building the “Akihabara of Taiwan—Zhudong Anime Park.”
