Explore the High Heel Wedding Church at the Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum — Fun Without a Car

Easier access to the Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum now available. The Yunlin–Chiayi–Tainan Coastal “Taiwan Tourist Shuttle — Salt Coast Line” has added a new route featuring popular attractions such as “Chiayi Haomeili” and the “Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum,” all of which are new stops. During holidays, a “cruise-style train” has also been newly launched, making stops along the route so that visitors can enjoy the area without driving.

The “Taiwan Tourist Shuttle — Salt Coast Line” departs from the Chiayi City Preliminary Transportation Transfer Center, stopping en route at Chiayi HSR, the Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum, Xiantian Temple, Dongshi Fisherman’s Wharf, Budai Visitor Center, Haomeili, Nanxun Daisuitang, and Beimen Visitor Center — a total of nine stops spanning 80 kilometers, with a one-way trip taking about 100 minutes. Among them, the 3D landscape-painted Chiayi Budai Haomeili and the newly opened Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum are new stops, making it more convenient for travelers to explore the Yunlin–Chiayi–Tainan region.

Additionally, the “cruise-style train” operated by Chiayi Bus during holidays has been running on the “Taiwan Tourist Shuttle — Salt Coast Line” since January 1, 2016, stopping at each station for 30 minutes to one and a half hours, taking passengers to various attractions for sightseeing and exploration.
