With the arrival of the 2016 Lunar New Year, the Miaoli County Government has prepared a “Winter-Spring Flower Viewing Area,” setting up around 30 hectares of flower fields in Nanzhuang Township, Houlong Township, Tongxiao Township, and Yuanli Township. The floral varieties include cosmos, yellow cosmos, marigold, and sunflowers, which are expected to bloom successively from late January to early February 2016.

● Nanzhuang Township
Flower viewing location: Miaoli Route 124B, Nanzhuang Township
Floral varieties: Cosmos, sunflowers
Area: Approximately 6 hectares
Expected blooming period: Late January 2016

● Houlong Township
Flower viewing location: Beside Gao-Tie Route 6 and Provincial Highway 126, Houlong Township
Floral variety: Cosmos
Area: Approximately 8 hectares

● Yuanli Township
Flower viewing location: Shanjiao Outer Ring Road, Miaoli Route 43, and areas near the high-speed railway, Yuanli Township
Floral varieties: Cosmos, yellow cosmos, marigold, sunflowers
Area: Approximately 14 hectares
Expected blooming period: Early January 2016
