A Must-Visit Romantic Spot for Valentine’s Day: 10,000 White Roses Light Up Victoria Harbour

The "Rose Garden of Light," which garnered huge attention in Dongdaemun, Seoul, Korea, will be held in Hong Kong starting February 14. The romantic and spectacular sea of roses will be "planted" along the Central Harbourfront Promenade in Hong Kong, lighting up at 6 p.m. every evening and open to the public free of charge. The exhibition will feature approximately 25,000 LED white roses, covering an area of 1,782 square meters—larger than the display in Korea.

Each white rose light consists of an LED bulb and seven layers of petals, is waterproof, and stands about 70 cm to 80 cm tall to create varying heights and visual effects. The dense sea of roses will illuminate the night sky along Central Harbourfront, allowing visitors to take memorable and romantic photos with the beautiful Victoria Harbour skyline as a backdrop.

To align with the different romantic atmospheres of Western Valentine’s Day and Chinese Lantern Festival, the exhibition will be divided into two parts. The first phase during Valentine’s Day (February 14–16) will be located at the Central and Western District Promenade, letting visitors capture warm, romantic moments with the stunning Victoria Harbour view. The second phase during the Lantern Festival (February 20–22) will move to the adjacent Tamar Park, with the backdrop switching to the bustling high-rise-filled Central business district that best represents Hong Kong’s vibrancy. From February 17 to 19, during the transition period, the flower display will remain partially open, allowing visitors to continue soaking in the ambiance of love.
