Houses built upside down are no longer a dream. The inverted house trend, which originated in countries such as Russia, Germany, and Japan, has now become a hit in Taiwan. The first-ever 〈Inverted House Special Exhibition〉 showcased at the National Science and Technology Museum features six major themes: the Inverted Upside-Down House, the Morphing LOL House, the Happy Games Treehouse, the Cute Mushroom House, the Mysterious Dwarf House, and the Colorful Candy House. This exhibition combines art, visual effects, playfulness, and boundless imagination—perfect for family visits and parent-child fun together.

'The house is upside down!' This phrase echoes throughout the exhibition space, drawing gasps of amazement from both adults and children. The 〈Inverted House Special Exhibition〉 breaks conventional ideas about housing space by presenting inverted cross-sections of houses—with ridges and beams all upside down. It also features a bold European-style design that dazzles the eyes. With its visual effects, you can take wacky photos that look like you’re walking on walls or floating in space—come and unleash your creativity inside.

The exhibition includes two special themes: [Games Treehouse] and [LOL House]. The [Games Treehouse] is a mysterious tree hollow surrounded by oversized plants and giant ladybugs to create a mystical atmosphere. Children can experience forest suspension bridges, sponge ball pits, and swings in the autumn rain inside.

Another theme, the [LOL House], is also great for parent-child fun. In the [LOL House], all the windows and doors are twisted and distorted. Once inside, distorting funhouse mirrors constantly warp your reflection, making your body appear to enlarge, shrink, twist left, or sway right—producing lots of laughter. Also, don’t forget to take on the Mirror Maze challenge in the LOL House. The maze is fitted with multiple mirrors that reflect overlapping images, making it hard to tell left from right or what’s real—visitors, don’t get lost inside Up！
