A well-known night view restaurant on Yangmingshan was recently reported by the Construction Management Office for illegal structures. The four restaurants involved are "The Top," "Grass Mountain Nights," "Bagua Nights," and "Back Garden." The unauthorized structures mainly consist of glass-partitioned scenic private dining rooms and fixed awnings; movable umbrellas are not considered illegal. As Yangmingshan is a popular spot in Taipei for night views, these mountain-side scenic restaurants are always packed. Currently, the sections flagged as illegal are being voluntarily demolished by the business owners.
