The popular mascot “Kumamon” may not speak, but his hilarious antics effortlessly capture everyone’s attention. Recently, to promote Kyushu’s hot spring tourism, Kumamon visited Aso Nekoma Onsen to film the “Kumamon’s Holiday Time” video, where fans can see Kumamon soaking in the onsen alongside local elders in playful interactions—absolutely adorable.

Kyushu’s Kumamoto Prefecture is home to 118 hot spring sites, making it a perfect destination for onsen lovers. In the video, Kumamon is just about to soak when an old man gently taps his shoulder to remind him—“You should rinse your body before entering the bath.”,“Be mindful not to splash others while rinsing.”,“After washing, make sure not to bring your towel into the bath.”Only after following all these rules does Kumamon finally get in to enjoy the onsen amid Aso’s endless green scenery.

After the soak, Kumamon heads to the changing room only to realize there’s more to remember. The old man taps his shoulder again to remind him, “Before leaving the bathing area and going to the changing room, you must dry your body first.” Kumamon quickly cooperates with the elder to dry off before leisurely heading to the changing room to dry his hair.
