In addition to major dragon boat races in Taipei, Taoyuan, Changhua, Tainan, and Kaohsiung, 14 theme parks across Taiwan and local public transportation operators have joined forces to offer package deals such as discounted combo tickets for entry using public transport or ticket vouchers, making them perfect for family outings. Below is a handy holiday travel guide that provides the most comprehensive information for your trip.

According to the Tourism Bureau, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, based on past travel patterns during consecutive holidays, popular destinations are expected to include the Shueijinjiu area of the Ruifang Scenic Area, the Fulong area of the Northeast Coast, Yehliu Geopark on the North Coast, the Nanzhuang area of the Shitoushan Scenic Area, Fenchihu and the forest recreation area in Alishan National Scenic Area, the Budai and Beimen areas of the Southwestern Coast National Scenic Area, as well as the Lianhuatan Scenic Area in Hualien.

Emerging attractions this year such as the Glass Church and Haomeili 3D Ocean World in Budai, Chiayi, the National Palace Museum Southern Branch, and the Shan Chuan Liuli Suspension Bridge in Pingtung have attracted large crowds since their openings and are also predicted to be hot spots during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday. As the National Palace Museum Southern Branch and the Shan Chuan Liuli Suspension Bridge in Pingtung have visitor capacity limits, visitors are advised to make reservations in advance.and others have been crowded with visitors since their opening and are expected to be popular tourist spots during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday. As the Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum and Pingtung’s Shan Chuan Glass Bridge have implemented visitor capacity controls, tourists are reminded to make reservations in advance before visiting.

Yehliu Ocean World
1. ¥55 Buy You a Coffee: From June 9–12, present your ticket stub to redeem a hand-ground coffee or a cup of British Twinings tea for just NT$55 at the 2F “Oh！Sea You Café.” *One coupon per redemption.

Miniature World Theme Park
1. During the Dragon Boat Festival period, in addition to a universal 50% discount on admission (original price NT$799, now NT$399, approximately 50% off until June 30, 2016), there is an added local resident special: residents of Longtan District, Taoyuan City, and Guanxi Township, Hsinchu County, can show their ID card in person when purchasing tickets on-site for NT$399 and enjoy “Buy 1 Get 1 Free, plus a NT$100 dining voucher” deal. This lets you enjoy a full day of fun, explore over 100 miniature buildings, ride more than 20 attractions, watch four spectacular themed shows, and visit the super fun indoor motion ride area.
2. Public Transport Discounts:
(1) Taiwan United Bus: Since it already offers a combined ticket and fare package, specific promotional details are determined by Taiwan United Bus.
(2) Hsinchu Bus: During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday (June 9–12), those who show proof of bus travel to Miniature World and purchase tickets on-site will get a special price of NT$359 (original price NT$799, approximately 45% off). The arrival station on the voucher must be Miniature World, and each voucher is valid for one discounted ticket.

Leofoo Village Theme Park
1. Dragon Boat Holiday Group Fun at Leofoo Village (Original ticket price NT$999)
(1) Those born in the Year of the Dragon: NT$399 per person.
(2) Two people born in the Year of the Dragon traveling together: NT$299 per person.
(3) For groups of 3 people born in the Year of the Dragon, each pays only 199 RMB.
(4) For groups of 4 people born in the Year of the Dragon, each pays only 99 RMB.
(5) For groups of 5 people born in the Year of the Dragon, each pays only 9 RMB.

2. Public Transport Discounts:
(1) Hsinchu Bus:
During the holiday period from June 9–12, present your Hsinchu Bus ticket stub for direct service to Leofoo Village to enjoy a discounted price of 599 RMB (original price: 999 RMB, approximately 60% off). One ticket stub is valid for one discounted admission only and must be used on the day of travel. No refunds after expiration.
(2) Taiwan United Bus:
During the holiday period from June 9–12, Taiwan United Bus offers a special package for 880 RMB (original price: 1,253 RMB, approximately 70% off), which includes a round-trip ticket from Taipei to Leofoo Village and one admission ticket to Leofoo Village Theme Park.

Doraemon Science Theme Park
1. Enjoy summer fun with exclusive discounts: Get a free chilled zongzi ice treat (one per ticket) when you purchase tickets on-site. Limited to 350 portions per day.

3. Ticket Discounts:

1. During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday from June 9–12, get a free letter keychain DIY set (valued at 80 RMB each) when you purchase tickets on-site.
2. Public Transport Discounts:
(1) To encourage the use of public transport, in partnership with Fengyuan Bus, you can take a direct bus from Taipei or Fengyuan to West Lake Resort.
(2) Show your bus ticket stub when purchasing admission to get a 300 RMB discounted ticket.
(3) When staying overnight, present your same-day bus ticket stub to offset your accommodation fee based on the room rate, season, and number of guests.
(4) Purchase your ticket to Taipei at the West Lake Resort counter to get a discounted ticket priced between 220–270 RMB (original full fare: 280 RMB). Discounted prices are subject to Fengyuan Bus schedules.

Triathlon & First Responders Month: From June 1–July 3, current employees of high-speed rail, Taiwan Railways, MRT, police, firefighters, volunteer police, and volunteer firefighters can present their work ID to enjoy admission for just 100 RMB to either park (original price: 650 RMB, approximately 15% off). 2. Dragon Boat Festival Egg-Balancing Activity (June 9)
On the day of the Dragon Boat Festival, egg-balancing activities are available for on-site registration at noon. Successfully balance an egg to win a special prize—limited slots available until filled.
3. Public Transport Discount: Take Fengyuan Bus No. 209 to the park and purchase your admission ticket at a discounted price of NT$160.

Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village
1. Dragon Boat Egg-Balancing – On-site, 100 eggs are provided for visitors to experience the wonder of balancing eggs at noon.
2. “Family Trip at Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village” – From June 1 to June 30, show an old family photo taken at the park to prove it’s a family reunion visit. Each verified photo allows you to purchase five special tickets at NT$390 each (originally NT$780, 50% off). Not applicable for groups.
