Affected by the northeastern monsoon, temperatures in northern Taiwan will drop sharply by as much as 10 degrees over the weekend. Be especially cautious of temperature changes, and take care to avoid getting chilled or catching a cold. Saturday and Sunday will see mostly cloudy skies across the country, with rain in areas north of Taoyuan and in the eastern half.

This weekend, temperatures in northern, Taipei, Keelung, and New Taipei will range between 15–17°C, Taoyuan, Hsinchu, and Miaoli 16–20°C, Changhua, Nantou, and Yunlin 16–25°C, Yunlin, Chiayi, and Tainan 17–26°C, Kaohsiung, Pingtung 20–29°C, Yilan 17–20°C, Hualien 19–23°C, and Taitung 20–24°C; Lienchiang 8–11°C, Kinmen 13–18°C, and Penghu 19–21°C.
Air quality in central and southern parts of western Taiwan is poor, with multiple monitoring sites reaching levels unhealthy for sensitive groups. Take extra care when going out.
