Every spring when cherry blossoms are in full bloom, the area around Musashi Ichinomiya Shrine in Kawagoe is covered in cherry blossoms. The most lively and romantic activity is the Kawagoe Boat Cruise in Little Edo, offering a boat ride experience that feels like traveling back to the Edo period, with the river surface covered in cherry blossom petals, blending with the remaining blossoms to create a pink-hued world — a truly breathtaking sight.

The 2016 Kawagoe Spring Boat Cruise started on April 2nd. The peak of the event coincides with full cherry blossom bloom, and activities continue through May. When the river is still adorned with fields of rapeseed flowers, the fresh and vibrant beauty of spring can be especially appreciated through the boat ride experience.  

Musashi Ichinomiya Shrine in Kawagoe is a historic shrine with a history of about 1,500 years. It is also a popular venue for wedding ceremonies and a sacred site for those praying for love and marriage. The shrine's love fortune stones are often in high demand. Various amulets, love charms, and good luck items are not only unique but also make popular souvenirs.
