To celebrate the opening of the Tokyo branch of the Snoopy Museum in April 2016, a Japanese gachapon toy manufacturer also released small Snoopy figurines, combining them with the hottest "gachapon capsule character on a cup rim" concept to launch the "PUTITTO SNOOPY vol.1" series of merchandise, which went on sale in June 2016.

This series of Snoopy gachapon capsules includes seven designs in total, one of which is a hidden edition. The news sent fans into a frenzy, with the six known designs featuring Snoopy hugging Woodstock, Snoopy and Woodstock deep in thought, Snoopy hanging upside down, Snoopy and Woodstock fast asleep, Snoopy hanging mid-air, and Woodstock teetering on the edge. Their lively poses are especially amusing when placed on the rims of cups.

Each Snoopy gachapon capsule is priced at 500 yen, while a box of eight costs 4,000 yen. The Snoopy Museum opened on April 23 and became one of the hottest tourist spots in Japan in 2016.
