Garfield makes a playful cameo in Taipei to warm up for a running event

The alternative yellow-themed party “RUN！RUN！GARFIELD,” set to take place at the Greater Taipei Metropolitan Park, will be led by the original cute pet star “Garfield,” who will join runners across Taiwan to kick off the summer in high spirits. Usually known for his laid-back persona, Garfield has made a special trip to Taiwan to retrieve his lost pizza—something he considers as important as life itself—and to visit famous local attractions along the way.

Garfield goes on a Taipei tour, making his first stop at the Wanjinshi Marathon to observe the runners. Seeing so many athletes charging forward energetically, Garfield also enthusiastically held up signs to cheer them on. Especially when he appeared, he instantly drew crowds, with both passersby of all ages and runners on-site eager to high-five and take photos with him.

For the second stop of his Taipei trip, Garfield visited the beautiful Miramar Ferris Wheel at Miramar Entertainment Park, a classic filming location for many idol dramas. This handsome “male lead” of comic-book fame naturally had to check it out.

This old military dependents' village building, decorated with modern graffiti, is located near Taipei 101 and is known as Sisisi South Village. Amid its simple and nostalgic atmosphere, it also showcases a playful and endearing humanistic beauty. With his multi-faceted personality, Garfield seemed to reveal a rarely seen intellectual side while playing here.
