New York’s “Crazy Shakes” Take Over Social Media — The Latest Flavor: Brooklyn Blackout

According to the Lonely Planet website,，the Crazy Shake, launched by burger joint Black Tap, has completely stolen the spotlight from the main menu items. So popular are they that visitors often have to wait several hours just to get one. And now, the shop is planning to release a special flavor—the “Brooklyn Blackout Cake Shake”—available as a limited summer edition only.

On average, they sell around 1,000 shakes a day, which increases to 1,500 on weekends. Their biggest draw is their stunning, eye-catching decorations, including whipped cream, cake frosting, chocolate chips, syrup, Oreo cookies, marshmallows, blueberry pie, and more. The mastermind behind these creations? Chefs from Michelin-starred restaurants.

Although each shake contains about 1,600 calories, the opening of three major chain locations shows that the power of delicious food ultimately triumphs over all.
