China Airlines' new A350 aircraft will be delayed until September for delivery

China Airlines stated that Airbus has notified them of an adjustment to the delivery schedule for the A350-900 XWB (Xtra Wide Body), with the first newly ordered A350 aircraft originally scheduled for July now postponed to the end of September. Airbus explained that the delay is due to the cabin assembly progress on the A350 production line not proceeding as originally planned, resulting in the adjusted delivery timeline.

China Airlines pointed out that Airbus has expressed its deepest apologies to the airline. The delivery schedule for all four A350 aircraft to be delivered to China Airlines this year will be postponed, but Airbus has promised to complete the deliveries progressively before the end of the year.

China Airlines has ordered a total of 14 Airbus A350-900 XWB aircraft. After the first A350 is delivered and returns to Taiwan, it will undergo the required civil aviation airworthiness certifications before entering service. China Airlines will adjust its flight scheduling according to the revised delivery timeline from Airbus.
