The Ghibli Museum has announced a new initiative, featuring the special exhibition “Ride the Catbus to the Forest of Ghibli (猫バスにのって ジブリの森へ)” starting July 16. This exhibition will look back at the past 15 years and bring together major past exhibitions held at the museum, including beloved animated works such as Castle in the Sky, Spirited Away, and Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea, all presented in fresh and unique ways.

The museum also revealed that the iconic Catbus from the classic film “My Neighbor Totoro” will be specially recreated in an adult-sized version, allowing older fans to board the Catbus and journey together to the dreamlike Forest of Ghibli.

The Ghibli Museum in Tokyo is currently undergoing renovation and will be closed from May 9 to July 15. Starting July 16, the special exhibition “Ride the Catbus to the Forest of Ghibli” will begin. The registration period for July entry lottery is from May 25 to 31, and for August entry...registrationThe lottery period is from June 25 to 30. Each person can purchase up to six tickets.
