When taking the Kaohsiung MRT in Kaohsiung, besides enjoying convenient and fast transportation, the Kaohsiung MRT also periodically launches various limited-time themed stations, allowing the public to take photos and check in. 1. Formosa Boulevard Station – Chibi Maruko-chan Themed Station, Exhibition runs until July 31
In collaboration with the famous Japanese cartoon character Chibi Maruko-chan, the Kaohsiung MRT has created a Chibi Maruko-chan themed station at Formosa Boulevard Station, recreating classic park and shrine scenes from the cartoon, making you feel as if you’ve stepped into Maruko’s world. In front of the shrine, there’s even an omikuji (fortune-telling) cylinder to recreate the atmosphere of drawing lots in Japan. Nearby, the “Chibi Maruko-chan Kaohsiung MRT Welfare Shop” sells a variety of Maruko-themed merchandise.
