Ahead of London’s first naked restaurant opening in June this year, Melbourne, Australia officially opened its first “naked restaurant” on the evening of the 26th, inviting guests of various body types, including pregnant women, those with rare illnesses, and individuals with scars from injuries, to dine nude together — all in the name of promoting a “healthy” and “confident” body image.

The “naked restaurant” event, organized by a local Australian radio show host, aims to help the public embrace nudity from a healthy perspective — appreciating bodies regardless of their appearance, and gaining confidence in one’s own body. The host mentioned that they were initially worried about acceptance, but were pleasantly surprised to find everyone thoroughly enjoying the unique dining experience.

A British restaurant, “The Bunyadi,” is set to open London’s first fully naked dining venue in June, creating a huge buzz even before its launch with over 10,000 reservations. But Australia beat it to the punch by opening its own naked restaurant early, giving many a chance to try it out first and reigniting discussions around nudity.
