The first typhoon of the year, "Nepartak," formed on the morning of the 3rd. Its current center is located in the sea area southeast of Eluanbi, moving toward the eastern waters of Taiwan. The Central Weather Bureau predicts it will strengthen into a moderate typhoon by the early morning of the 6th, and will be closest to Taiwan around the 7th, when there is also a possibility of direct landfall.
