The annual illustration extravaganza "2016 Asian Illustration Annual Awards" grandly opens at the Taichung Cultural and Creative Industries Park, running from July 20 to August 30. The exhibition features internationally renowned illustrated characters such as "Hatsune Miku" illustrated by siomidu and dera_fury, Taiwan LINE's original sticker character Banana Man, Japan's famous illustrated character "Ugly Pen Head" illustrated by uQ Shunjun, Singaporean renowned illustrator Teacher Li Gaofeng, and Hong Kong watercolor artist Teacher Chen Shunkang... and other domestic and international renowned illustrators making their charming appearances！

This exhibition is an international showcase gathering 252 illustrators from 9 countries, featuring over 1,200 artworks. The Asian Illustrators Yearbook Project started in 2014, uniting 266 creative illustrators in Taiwan to launch the 2015 Asian Illustrators Yearbook. In 2016, it expanded across all of Asia, including Taiwan, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore... and other regions. In addition to compiling exquisite works from multiple illustrators into a single volume, it also extends to hosting physical exhibitions in major Asian cities.

The "2016 Asian Illustration Annual Awards" is hosted by the Asian Illustration Association, with its first stop at the Taichung Cultural and Creative Industries Park.
