Ruilong Waterfall is known as the most beautiful waterfall in Zhushan Township. The waterfall stands approximately 30 meters tall with abundant water flow throughout all seasons, forming a magnificent landscape together with the surrounding peculiar rocks. To allow visitors to get a closer view of the waterfall’s beauty, the Nantou County Government invested 28 million NTD to build a cantilevered aerial scenic platform, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2016.

The cantilevered scenic platform is decorated with the motif of “Ruyi” (a symbol of good fortune), measuring 33 meters in length and 11 meters in width, and is situated about 10 meters above the stream bed. It features a walking path area and a tea seating area. Visitors can walk onto the scenic platform to take in the full view of Ruilong Waterfall, while the tea seating area allows them to sit, relax, and enjoy tea while absorbing the negative ions emitted by the waterfall. The Nantou County Government is planning to implement a reservation system and charge admission fees to control visitor numbers and maintain tourism quality.
