Typhoon Nida (No. 4) is about to form, with Taipei City experiencing 38°C highs for three consecutive days — the first time in 120 years of records at the Taipei Weather Station. Forecasters point out that the mild typhoon "Nida" is expected to form within the next day or two, predicted to move northwest toward Luzon. The extent of its impact on Taiwan remains to be observed, and a sea typhoon warning may be issued as early as the evening of August 1.

Forecasters also mentioned that the tropical depression is currently about 1,200 kilometers from Eluanbi. After developing into a typhoon, it will first pass through Luzon, with a possible future path moving either west-northwest or northwest. Due to moisture brought by the tropical depression east of the Philippines, brief afternoon thunderstorms are expected in central, southern, and southeastern mountainous areas. Everyone is advised to take sun protection, stay hydrated, carry rain gear when going out, and keep an eye on the typhoon’s movements.
