The post-Hsinchu era has arrived！The back station area is set to be not only beautified but also infused with art. The “Hsinchu International Land Art Festival,” in tandem with the launch of the back station transportation hub and the completion of sidewalk improvement projects, quietly kicked off its “axis transformation” last month. Through the participation of domestic and international artists, the land art festival adorns the streets and alleys of the back station area with art, transforming the entire neighborhood into an “art gallery.”

The Land Art Festival is curated by renowned domestic curator Du Zhaoxian, who brings his experience from the artistic street revitalization project on Tainan’s Haian Road to Hsinchu, offering a fresh vision for the nation’s land art scene. This marks the first time Hsinchu City has hosted an international land art festival. In the future, the area around the Hsinchu Transportation Hub will be developed under the concept of a “grand park.”

Stretching from the back station to the 1916 Creative Park (Hsinchu Park), a total of 15 outdoor art installations have been set up, designed around the themes of wind, travel, and light and sound. The exhibition runs until July 30 next year. The artworks are divided into two zones: the back station area is themed “Journey of the Wind,” while the installations around Hsinchu Park carry the theme “Happy Party” to celebrate the park’s centennial.
