Valentine’s Day is coming soon. Haven’t decided where to take your girlfriend or partner yet? Up in the mountains of Lishan in Taichung lies a hidden gem — “Lishan Jesus Church,” situated at an altitude of 2,011 meters, making it the highest church in all of Taiwan. Nestled high in the mountains, this white church exudes a sacred atmosphere. Outside the church, there's also an ultra-romantic vow platform where couples can pledge their love under blue skies, white clouds, and the majestic surrounding mountain ranges.

The minimalist European-style architecture of Lishan Jesus Church offers panoramic views of Snow Mountain. It is a historic landmark in Taichung and was once a place of worship for former President Chiang Kai-shek and his wife.
The church grounds feature a romantic vow platform called the “Promise Platform.”
In 2017, the Tourism Bureau’s Shan Shui National Scenic Area Administration collaborated with the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan — Tâi-yôan Presbytery to renovate the 50-year-old Lishan Jesus Church, transforming it into the country’s highest wedding photography and vow platform.
