The Guanziling Hot Spring Food Festival, held for many years, has become the most representative seasonal event in Tainan during autumn and winter. Each year, through a variety of rich and exciting activities, it attracts visitors to the hot spring area to unwind, shake off accumulated fatigue, and rejuvenate.

Mayor Lai sincerely invites friends from all over the country to come soak in Guanziling’s best hot springs. He mentioned that in recent years, the city government has assisted local hot spring businesses in obtaining hot spring certification labels. Now, the tourism industry is growing more and more robust—not only featuring the religious pilgrimage of the Fire God King, but also delicious cuisine, complemented by stunning nighttime light projections that make it feel like being in Japan. Visitors can wear yukata, enjoy music, watch performances, and savor food under the evening lights.

The Guanziling Hot Spring Food Festival event highlights four main features: first is the inaugural “Festival Parade,” which not only involves local communities and residents, but also welcomes culture and festival enthusiasts to join in the celebration; second is the “Hot Spring Gourmet Cuisine,” featuring the “Hot Spring on the Tip of the Tongue” sake hot spring set meal; third is the “Yukata Culture,” where local businesses create their own signature hot spring yukatas, along with yukata experience and fashion show events; fourth is the collaborative effort with the West Taiwan Scenic Administration to develop Guanziling’s “nighttime light environment,” which, besides dazzling light projection shows, also includes enchanting elements such as strings of lanterns and the Light Zen Pillar Path, allowing visitors to stroll through Guanziling’s vibrant mountain-city nightscape and enjoy a wonderful multi-sensory experience journey.

The Guanziling Hot Spring Food Festival runs from September 24 to October 23. In addition to a variety of activities and discounts such as yukata fashion parties, light projection performances, holiday markets, music lectures, and leisurely guided tours, the event also features exciting local cultural tours including the Dongshan Coffee Mini Journey, a refined taste of Lingnan Kiln Township’s osmanthus wine bread DIY, Liuziyuan Rural Experience Tours, and citrus picking.
