From November 17, 2016, to January 2, 2017, Hong Kong Disneyland hosted a 46-day “Shining Christmas” special event. Mickey and his friends dressed up in Christmas outfits to greet visitors. A series of special activities paired with beautiful settings created a strong festive atmosphere. Featuring unique Christmas merchandise and a rich selection of gourmet delights, the event aimed to deliver a perfect Disney Christmas experience for all guests.

From November 17, 2016, to January 2, 2017, Hong Kong Disneyland presented a series ofChristmasspecial events, sending boundless blessings to all guests. Goofy transformed into Santa Claus and took residence at the Christmas Post Office on Main Street, U.S.A., where guests could not only meet Santa Goofy up close but also write their Christmas wishes on limited-edition postcards and send them to loved ones via the “Christmas Wish Mailbox.” Each postcard was stamped with the resort’s exclusive Santa Goofy holiday postmark, offering a one-of-a-kind heartfelt message during the festive season.

Mickey and his friends dressed in festive attire and invited guests to enjoy the magical and dazzling “Christmas Snowfall Moment.” A magnificent 18-meter-tall LED Christmas tree stood proudly on Main Street, U.S.A. Throughout the event, the park held the “Make-A-Wish Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony” every evening, accompanied by falling snow, vibrant Christmas lights, and the melodious singing of the Christmas choir—delivering a joyful and festive ambiance for all guests.

The park introduced hundreds of adorable, festive-themed merchandise items, including collectibles of Disney Bear Duffy and the Mickey Mouse family—highlight products of the event. Over 50 exquisitely prepared Christmas dishes and treats were also available at resort restaurants, ensuring that everything you see, eat, and buy is infused with festive cheer, creating cherished memories of this year’s Christmas.
