Must-visit Hong Kong Christmas hotspots: Harbour City’s Little Snowman Party spreads warmth

Hong Kong’s Harbour City is a popular Christmas celebration spot for families, couples, and friends every year. This year, Harbour City adopts the theme “Christmas Together” to continue the joyful tradition. This year also marks the 50th anniversary of the Ocean Terminal, so a special online crowdfunding campaign has been launched to collect Harbour City Christmas memories—everyone is invited to share photos taken at Harbour City across different decades!

This Christmas, Harbour City invites everyone to celebrate the festive season with the “Little Snowman.” From now until January 2, 2017, the Ocean Terminal Open Piazza will be transformed into a Little Snowman Christmas party. The Little Snowman is made up of two large snowballs, adorned with 32 different floral designs, and looks very much like a cute “tumbler doll”!

At the center of the open piazza, there is a 12-meter-tall giant Christmas tree made up of various Little Snowmen, a large Ferris wheel, and specially designed Christmas light trees. There are over a hundred Little Snowmen of different sizes and designs throughout the piazza, each hiding a “snowman code” numbered from 0 to 31. You can search for the Little Snowman with your unique snowman code in different corners, take photos with them, and capture the wonderful moments of the holiday. The Christmas doves beside the Little Snowmen bring blessings from around the world to Harbour City, with different festive messages tied around the necks of each Little Snowman. You can use the “snowman code” to send these wishes to your loved ones.
