The Taipei 101 New Year's Eve fireworks, which were previously reported to possibly be canceled due to funding issues, have been officially confirmed to take place this year as scheduled. The fireworks display will still last 238 seconds, but the number of fireworks launched will be halved. Nevertheless, Taipei 101 has introduced a new creative twist with a synchronized light show featuring 800 lights, offering both domestic and international visitors a brand-new New Year's Eve fireworks experience.

In addition, Taipei 101 stated that these 800 lights will be installed from the bottom up across the entire 101 skyscraper, and the visual effect is expected to be quite spectacular. This announcement also confirms that the “possible cancellation” was merely a rumor. In mid-December, the fireworks ordered by Taipei 101 arrived in Taiwan from Europe, promising to be a grand New Year’s Eve fireworks spectacle that draws international attention.
