This grand exhibition took 18 months to plan, bridging the essence of past and present. Using the "Twenty Scenes of the Western Buildings of the Old Summer Palace Copperplate Prints"—a national-level artwork restored and reproduced by the collotype technology team—as its DNA, the project enlisted multiple professional animators and historical document researchers acting as genetic engineers to meticulously reconstruct, through computer animation technology, the Western Buildings of the Old Summer Palace that were lost in the flames of war.

Among them, the most iconic Western-style building, the "Xie Qiqu," is presented through 3D light sculpture projection animation films, allowing viewers to feel its magnificence. Meanwhile, the 360-degree, no-blind-spot VR360 experience lets audiences feel as if they are actually standing on the grounds of the Old Summer Palace 240 years ago.
