Located in Wanluan, Pingtung, there lies a beautiful hidden gem where the songs of the Paiwan people echo. These songs carried them through the devastation of Typhoon Morakot and the subsequent 88 Flood, even earning the Best Traditional Music Interpretation award at the 23rd Golden Melody Awards. This is the Taiwu Elementary School, recognized by scholars from the Japan Society of Civil Engineers as the most beautiful elementary school in the world. After four relocations and two and a half years of displacement, it has now taken root and flourished in the Ilaluvaz Permanent Housing Community.
