James (played by Luke Treadaway), a struggling street musician and seller of *The Big Issue* magazine, discovers a thin, injured kitten on the street outside his home. At the time, he was battling drug addiction but, despite financial struggles, chose to care for the cat until it recovered, naming it “Bob.”

Later, James tries to release Bob back onto the streets, but the cat becomes attached to him and refuses to leave. James begins taking Bob along as he performs on the street. During performances, Bob often sits quietly on James’s guitar case, guitar, or even his shoulder.

Bob’s gentle and adorable nature naturally draws attention from passersby, gradually improving James’s financial situation. Videos of his street performances go viral on YouTube, sparking widespread discussion. Bob also stays by James’s side during his toughest moments of drug withdrawal, healing each other and ending their cycle of homelessness.
