Taiwan, once under Japanese rule, has inherited many historically distinctive relics from that period, which have also contributed to the island’s diverse cultural flavors. The Dianlinzibian Police Station in Kaohsiung, built in 1898, has stood for over a century but still retains its Japanese-style charm and historical appearance.
