The 2019 Central Taiwan Lantern Festival kicked off on February 16th. With the theme "Fortune Welcomes the Pig," the festival not only features 20 super cute and creative Year of the Pig lanterns that you must admire, photograph, and check in at, but also includes the Flower Expo Leopard Cat-themed lanterns and a stunning light corridor, turning downtown Taichung into a wonderland of light.

The 2019 Central Taiwan Lantern Festival features the lively and adorable “Imperial Flying Pig” as the main lantern. In addition, there are 15 traditional lanterns showcasing Taichung’s characteristics, 5 large inflatable illuminated creative theme lanterns, 12 Flower Expo Leopard Cat family-themed lanterns, and 1 Japanese Nebuta fan-shaped lantern. The festival site also offers a vast, dazzling light environment and lantern viewing corridors.
